| Physical Description | Yalee would describe herself as having boring dark brown hair and boring brown eyes. Her hair is indecisive in that naturally, it is somewhat wavy but neither curly nor straight and seems to have its own mind about what direction it will go, not conforming to the majority pattern. Her nose is button cute. She is lean and a bit more applish in shape. She has dark brown to burnt orangish Trill spots that go all the way down her sides. |

| General Overview | Even before joining with symbiont Prar, Yalee was a complete extrovert. She thrived on anything new and believes in trying anything once. Some might call her wild and a risk taker. They would not be completely wrong. However, it is her desire to find solutions, curiosity, and need to not bored that keeps her going. Consequently, relationships rarely last long with her. | |

Simply put, Yalee moves from position to position, looking for something new and something more than she had before, including knowledge. | Personal History | Yalee’s mother would say that Yalee ran before she walked. Yalee was ever chasing something, not content to stay in one place. Leaping before she ever looked, Yalee was a bundle of energy and that energy was infectious. Because Yalee took so much effort to keep up with, her parents never had another child. In school, she was the first to volunteer for any assignment and she was always surrounded by friends. There, she learned she had a gift for languages and became fluent in Klingon, Rihannsu, Ferengi, and High Orion, When she graduated high school, she was voted the “Most Likely to Visit Every Star in the Galaxy.” True to her high school peers’ opinions, Yalee was not long for Trill. She applied for and was accepted to Starfleet Academy. Yalee was a hard worker and did everything that she could to learn whatever Starfleet wanted her to learn. Breaks were spent flying, her only respite from the drudgery of classes. As she seemed to settle down into routine, even obtaining a human boyfriend named Tristan. Like many others, Yalee had applied every year to the Symbiosis Commission to obtain a symbiont. After two years of denials, Yalee figured that she did not have much of chance of obtaining a symbiont. She was young and did not have a great deal of credentials to her name. However, to her surprise, she was selected at the conclusion of her second year. The competition for a symbiont was fierce. The thrill of it excited Yalee and drove her to greater heights. In the end, she was selected to receive a symbiont named Prar. More surprising was that during the joining, Yalee discovered that Prar’s personality was not too far removed for her own. Going back to Starfleet to continue their journey there made a great deal of sense due to Prar having had prior hosts who had numerous relationships and family members continuing to reside on Trill. Yalee Prar did not stay long on Trill. A little over a year after she took leave of Starfleet, she resumed her studies in her third year. Tristan had waited for her. However, now a joined Trill, Yalee Prar found that Tristan was dull and could no longer hold her attention or imagination. So less than a couple of weeks after Yalee had returned, she ended the relationship. Having such an eclectic background, it was only natural for Yalee to enter into the operations department. Her first assignment was at the helm on the USS Aristotle, a Nova Class starship. After a little over a year on the Aristotle, she was promoted to Junior Grade Lieutenant and transferred to the USS Halcyon where she became a transporter officer and later was promoted to the Assistant Chief Operations Officer. Bored on the transporter, but now having an Assistant Chief position, she looked for an opportunity where she might quickly become a Chief Operations Officer and found it on the USS Jamala. Perhaps the reason that nobody sought the position on the Jamala was M’Nori. She was a harsh and odd task master. This elder Caitian woman taught Yalee the finer points of the deflector systems, sensors, tractor beams, and tracking supplies as a quartermaster. M’Nori did not allow for any imprecisions, often going on wild rants if Yalee was to make any mistake. Yalee never received a compliment for the entire time that M’Nori was the Chief. By the time it was time for M’Nori to retire in 2389, M’Nori informed Yalee that Yalee might be alright in the position, which Yalee took as the highest possible compliment. As the Operations Chief on Jamala, Yalee continued to run the department at the high standards that M’Nori set. Of course, the environment was much lighter than when M’Nori ran the department. Ultimately, Yalee missed the cantankerous M’Nori and just did not feel that Jamala was the same without her, so she found a new transfer, this time to the USS Nyx, a Curiosity Class Starship. The Nyx was called in to negotiate a treaty between two potential Federation applicants that also were enemies: the Estrods and the Iliax. Debates were nuanced and heated. Much of it bored Yalee. However, M’Nori’s training led Yalee down a fateful path. Yalee wondered why the Iliax had insisted on bringing several crates of drichee, a plum colored fruit. More unusual was that the Iliax were utilizing at least a crate per day, which was more than she would think that any set of beings could eat in a day. When several Estrods who a day before were at fierce odds with the Iliax were suddenly rather agreeable, Yalee took her concerns to Intelligence. Intelligence and Yalee headed over to medical and determined that there was a compound in the drichee that when synthesized in a certain manner had a mesmerizing effect on the Estrods. While the plot was difused and exposed, since nothing could be directly proven, talks were suspended. Given Yalee’s wild streak, intuition, and intelligence, Starfleet decided that she should be promoted to Commander, a First Officer, and sent to Starbase Typhon where she might find a commanding officer that could further groom her and further rein in her wild tendencies. |
