Meeting the CO

Raven stood outside the Captain's Ready Room and ran her hands through her long hair to smooth it down. A new post. It had been a while since she'd changed assignments. This was her first posting on a starbase. She smiled. Perfect.

Ready to meet her new boss, she rang the chime.

"Enter"

Fannin was expecting his chief Intelligence Officer to arrive,he was not expecting the officer that just entered his office....

Raven walked into the room and made a quick assessment. His eyes were alert yet friendly. The office was professional yet welcoming. A nice first impression. "Hello," she said with a smile. "I'm Raven Adams."

Edward offered his hand, "Pleasure to meet you Commander Adams"

"The pleasure is mine, Captain," Raven replied, shaking his hand. "I'm impressed with what I've seen of Typhon so far."

"We are fortunate to have you with us, can I get you something to drink?"

Raven grinned. "Chocolate milk would be great."

Fannin had read her profile, he smoothly opened the box of Ghirardelli chocolates and slid them accross the desk. He returned with a cold glass of Chocolate milk...

Raven laughed when she saw the chocolate. "Would this be a good time to admit that I take bribes?" she said with a chuckle. She took them, but that never meant that she'd comply with the wishes of the giver. "Thank you."

"How was your trip to Typhon?"

"Fascinating," she replied, taking a sip of her milk.

"I hope you have the opportunity to meet Admiral Stone."

Raven raised an eyebrow. "Yes. I've heard of him. I plan on it. I'm very interested in talking to him."

In addition, there will be an expedition heading out to Tiberius Ten soon, I would love to go but unable to. Perhaps you could take my seat.?"

Raven thought about that for a moment, then grinned. "I would love to. It sounds like fin." She would need to spend some time doing research on the planet, but it sounded like a great adventure.

"You'll get a chance to meet Gifford and some of the others from Intel on the mission, those guys are pretty good."

Raven smiled. "Excellent. I look forward to it. To whom do I speak to get more details?"

""I'll talk to the Operations chief and get you added to the away team."

"Thank you. Is there anything I need to be aware of before settling in?" she asked.

Fannin smiled as he was called to the bridge... "Commander, good luck"

Raven nodded. "Thank you, sir." Since the Captain needed to go to the bridge, she headed to the turbolift.
