William walked into the command center and looked around. He still had a lot to do and hoped this wouldn't take long. He scanned the room but didn't see the captain. Walking over to a young woman sitting at a nearby desk he said, "Excuse me, but could you tell me where I can find Captain Fannin?"

"I believe he is on the bridge, Sir".

"Thank you," William said as he turned to make his way to the bridge. A few minutes later, he stepped onto the bridge and looked around. Seeing the captain, he walked over and said, "Excuse me, sir. Do you have a moment?"

"Of course, whats on your Mind?"

"We'll be leaving soon and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hospitality, sir," William replied.

"Anytime, it's been a pleasure to have you and your crew stay with us."

"I can see why Ian chose to be stationed here," William said, looking around. "I almost envy him."

"He's an outstanding officer and shows a great future."

"Don't let him hear you say that," William replied with a smile. "His head will get so big he won't be able to fit into his fighter."

Fannin laughed and held out his hand, "If you need us call us Commander"

"Thank you, Captain," William said, shaking the man's hand. "I'm sure we'll be back before long."
