----STATUS UPDATE----

TO: COMMODORE EDWARD FANNIN, STARBASE TYPHON, COMMANDING / WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

FROM: COLONEL WILHELM BARON VON HACKLEBERG, 21ST STARFLEET MARINES REGIMENT, COMMANDING

Sir. Have successfully rendeazvoused with MAS GLADIUS ahead of schedule after receiving an distress call from said vessel onboard Prometheus class attack cruiser USS NEW IRONSIDES. After arriving on scene NEW IRONSIDES dispatched Engineering and Medical personnel to assist where possible.

MAS GLADIUS came under attack from Drone Platforms two hours before arrival suffering moderate damage, or so the engineers tell me. The XO of the Gladius informed me his vessel should be warp capable within twelve hours or less. Sadly the Captain of the vessel was killed in the attack. Marine casualties are only six (See details below). Two serious, including Lt. Col. Purr. All casualties in need of advanced medical facilities where transferred to USS THOR and USS NEW IRONSIDES and detached from convoy one hour ago and are currently enroute to STARBASE TYPHON, being the closest facility with adequate medical support, please inform Dr. Hart and his staff.

On a related subject we have received unconfirmed reports of an attack or sabotage aboard STARBASE TYPHON and CAMP STONEBREAKER please inform on situaton when possible.

Current situation: As the senior officer on the scene I have issued orders to deploy the Razors in Combat Air Patrol until MAS GLADIUS is able to make way under her own power. Expected time of arrival at target is 52 hours. D-Day is expected 10 hours after arrival or sooner as the situation warrants. Intentions are to get in contact with assets on the ground as soon as practical for updates. If not successful, I will deploy recon assets including a Force Recon patrol with attached units (RAIDER SQUAD, details below). Then proceed with ground assault and the securing of civilians in the target area.

PS Wedding was beautiful, by Marine standards, you should have came with.
