ON

Raven was in a good mood. The events of the previous day had been emotionally draining, but the day ended far better than she'd hoped and today was starting out well.

Everything in Intelligence was ready for the upcoming inspection and there was a chance she'd see Skylar at some point -- providing he got his daily work load finished.

For now she was taking a break and window shopping -- something she hadn't done in a while.

Jana was walking along deep in thought about Krang and her sister and wondering what it would mean if they became more than friends. ~It will make telling her about my boyfriend a bit easier.~ She thought seeing as he was half Klingon and half Vulcan, an interesting combination to say the least.

She was wandering and not really noticing those around her she stopped and looked in a window at the display there.

Raven noticed Jana and walked over to her. "Hi," she said. "You look pensive. What's up?"

Jana shook her head, "Just wondering what a new friendship my sister seems to be developing could mean if it turns out more and not sure if I'm happy or worried about it." She said with a shrug

"New friendship?" Raven asked, intrigued. Could Anna be interested in someone else so soon after Ian? That was not necessarily a bad thing, however.

Jana nodded, "He came over last night but she told him she wanted to just be friends for now. Hang out, get to know each other. The whole wait and and see thing."

"Probably a good idea, all things considered," Raven replied. "Rushing into to something seldom works out." ~But there was always the exception that proved the rule~, she thought with a slight smile.

"What about love at first sight?" Jana asked.

Raven pondered that for a minute. "I don't think you can fall in love at first sight. I think you can be attracted to someone at first sight, but to truly love them you need to know the person inside." That, however, could happen rather -- quickly."

"What about if they look completely different from each other?" Jana asked, "I'm not saying that certain races shouldn't mix but some mixes just take a bit more getting use to than others."

"Yes, it can take some getting used to. For instance, I've never seen an Andorian/Caitian. That would be odd indeed. But it still comes down to what the person is like inside."

"I guess." Jana said with a shrug. "At least she isn't depressed anymore."

"That is a very good thing," Raven said, still smiling over the mental image of a big blue cat. "What about you? How are you doing?"

"I never liked Ian after he hurt the two of you. Good riddance I say." She said. "I was more concerned for Anna, she's doing better so I am too."

"I wasn't much of an Ian fan, either. But I never wanted Anna to get hurt. I'm glad she's found someone better."

"I'm hoping he is. He said he is willing to take it at whatever pace she wants even if it means two friends hanging out for a while first. That is a plus." Jana said.

"That's a BIG plus. When you find a guy who cares enough about you as a person to work with your fears, you need to stick with him." Skylar was a perfect example of that. Raven chuckled. She was spending far too much time thinking of him. "You still haven't told me what YOU are up to."

Jana shrugged, "Just looking around." She said, "Trying not to be under foot too much if she needs some time alone."

"Giving her time is a good thing, but if she's doing well enough to go out with another man, she's well on her way to recovery." Raven looked at the window display. "So, seen anything you like?"

Jana shook her head, "Nothing has really caught my eye." she said. "What about you?"

"Me, either. Not today, anyway. Maybe next week." She grinned at Jana. "I should probably stop playing hooky and go back to work."

"Or we could go to the confectionery and get some chocolates." Jana said with a grin.

"Well, I can always stop by the confectionery on my way to my office...." She grinned at Jana. There was always time to buy chocolate.

Jana smiled with a twinkle in her eye, "Then what are we waiting for?"
