Raven needed a break. The tension on the starbase among those who knew about the murders was getting to her.

Most of the time, music helped her relax, but she didn't feel like sitting in her room. And she didn't like going onto the holodeck alone.

She'd enjoyed visiting Woodstock with Ian... Perhaps he would be willing to come with her again?

With that in mind, she tapped her commbadge. "Adams to Casey."

Ian looked up from the PADD he'd been reading and smiled as he said, "Go ahead."

"I hope I'm not bothering you, but if you're free, would you be interested in joining me on the holodeck?"

Ian thought back to his last trip to the holodeck with her and smiled. "I would love to," he said to her. "As long as it's not Woodstock again," he added as he stood up and walked out of his office.

"Definitely not! I've had enough of that one," Raven assured him. It had been a lot of fun -- once. But she would much rather go to a traditional concert. "Do you have a preference?"

"Not particularly," Ian admitted as he entered a turbolift. "Anything you choose will be fine."

"Hmm... Okay. Meet me on Holodeck 3," Raven said, smiling.

"I'll be there in a couple minutes," he said, smiling.

Raven was already dressed in black jeans, black peasant blouse and black vest. So all she had to do was replicate a picnic hamper and a blanket and head for the holodeck. If she was going to make Ian sit through another concert, the least she could do was feed him.

She arrived at the holodeck before Ian and programmed in the concert.

Ian stepped out of the lift and walked to the holodeck. "So what do you have planned this time?" he asked her.

"There's a venue I like in the Rocky Mountains. Outdoor concerts. I went there once and loved it, so, if you don't mind, I'd like to try it again." She held up the blanket and basket. "I came prepared this time."

Ian looked at the items and smiled. "Let me help you with that," he said, reaching for the basket as he walked to the door. "Who are we listening to this time?"

"Thanks," She said as he took the basket. "Bon Jovi and Journey." The doors opened to reveal a mountainside with pine trees and groomed hills. "This is a ski resort in the winter. It makes a great place for a summer concert," she told him. "Pick a spot and I'll spread out the blanket."

Ian looked around for a moment then moved off to the side a little. "How about here?" he asked, looking around to see if there was a better location.

"Looks good to me," Raven said. She spread out the blanket, then took the basket and set it near the back of the blanket where it would be out of the way. She took out some sandwiches and drinks and set them out. "I have a variety of sandwiches because I didn't know what you liked. For drinks I have beer, soda and water."

"Ham and cheese is fine," Ian said as he sat down. "This isn't going to be as outrageous as the last time is it?"

"No," Raven shook her head vehemently. "That was for curiosity -- historically and musically. This is strictly for fun." She handed him a sandwich and selected a turkey and cheese for herself. "Besides, after that experience, I owed you."

Ian smiled at her and looked around the area. "What kind of music is this going to be?"

"It's called arena rock. Classic rock and roll from the 20th Century on Terra. I hope you like it."

"I'm looking forward to it," Ian said, looking at her with a smile. "Should we eat now or wait for the music?"

"The concert should begin shortly, so whatever you prefer," she said, returning his smile. "Tonight, I'm here to please you."

Ian looked at her and smiled. "Why don't we eat now so we can concentrate on the music later."

"Sounds good." Raven pulled out some drinks and some snacks before she sat back on the blanket to eat her sandwich. "I've always had a special fondness for mountains," she said, looking around. "And music just seems to fit the surroundings."

"It's beautiful," Karma said, looking around at the view. "I'll have to start looking for more programs with mountains in them."

Raven nodded as she ate her sandwich. "I'm sure there are quite a few. I hear snow skiing is quite popular, although I've never tried it myself."

"I was thinking something more along the lines of a camping trip," Ian said as he ate one of the sandwiches.

Raven chuckled. "Now that is something I can relate to. Although I haven't been camping since I was on Bajor." Well, unless you could the times she was hiding out, but she wasn't going to mention that. "I've got to admit, there's nothing like spending a few days in the middle of nowhere."

She finished her sandwich and put the wrapper in the hamper. Then she pulled out a cold drink.

"Maybe we can do that the next time we visit the holodeck," he suggested, reaching for a beer.

She looked over at him for a moment. "Sounds like fun." The band walked on stage as the sun began to set. Raven watched the sky turn red, then purple. She finished her drink and settled onto the blanket as the band began to play.

"Who is this again?" Ian asked as he made himself comfortable.

"Bon Jovi. They did Livin' on a Prayer, Wanted Dead or Alive, and Blaze of Glory, among others. They're great," Raven practically gushed. She'd played guitar with them many a time on the holodeck. She settled herself a little more comfortably on the blanket, using a corner as a pillow as the concert began.

Ian watched her get comfortable and smiled. "Perhaps you should program some pillows next time," he suggested before turning his attention to the stage.

"I didn't think about it," she said, chuckling. "Feel free if you wish."

The band played several songs before Raven looked over at Ian to see if he was enjoying the concert.

"This is much better than the last concert," he said to her, not taking his eyes off the stage.

"I'm glad," she said. As Ian was concentrating on the concert, she didn't talk to him. She moved a bit so she was on more of an incline and could sit more comfortably and continued to enjoy the concert.
