Mission: On Typhon Station

ON

[OLD]

"I don't want you walking around the base like that," Ian said to her. "Either stay here or at least let me walk with you to make sure you make it home okay."

[NEW]

Raven was touched by his concern. She put her hand on his cheek and kissed him. "Okay."

Ian looked at her and nodded. He slipped his arm around her waist to steady her. "Whenever you're ready," he said to her.

Instead of moving she yawned and laid her head on his shoulder. "Maybe I should just stay here."

Ian nodded and turned to lead her to the bedroom. He turned to look at her and said, "Get some rest. If you need me I'll be on the sofa."

The alcohol was catching up with her and she was getting sleepy. "You can stay if you want. I don't mind." Turning her back to Ian she slipped off her shoes, hose and dress and climbed into his bed.

Ian watched her and smiled. He'd thought about this happening, but not like this. "I'm not sure it's a good idea in your condition," he said to her.

She rolled over and smiled. "I agree. I wasn't thinking of that -- at least not right now. I promise I won't do more than cuddle." She was feeling decidedly cuddly for some reason. She wasn't quite sure why, but she didn't want to think about it. At the moment, all she wanted to do was cuddle -- and sleep.

Ian nodded and moved to lie next to her. He put his arm around her and pulled her close.

Raven smiled happily as she wrapped an arm around him and lay her head on his shoulder. It felt good to be with Ian, to be held by him. She reached up to kiss him on the side of his neck, snuggled closer, and fell asleep.

Ian smiled and leaned his head back. He listened to her breathe as she slept and soon fell asleep himself.

Raven woke slowly. Her head pounded and someone's arm was draped across her stomach. Ian. She should never have drunk enough to brazenly climb into his bed ad fall asleep. Although, it was nice to have him there beside her.

She rolled onto her back so she could look at Ian as he slept. She was falling in love with him, if she hadn't already. The way she felt when she was with him made her warm and happy. Raven gently caressed his cheek before she turned to get out of bed.

"Where are you going?" Ian asked, feeling the bed move as she got up.

"I'm going to get something for my headache. And I'm going to let you sleep," she said as she turned back to the bed.

"You don't have to leave," he said to her, trying to keep his eyes open.

She smiled and leaned over to kiss him gently. "I'll be back," she promised.

When she got back from replicating some painkillers, Ian was asleep. She looked at the chronometer by his bed. Early, but it would be a little tight if she went back to her quarters to get ready for work. Instead, she replicated a uniform and headed into the bathroom to shower.

Ian woke up again and looked around, feeling a little disappointed that she wasn't there. He sighed softly and rolled over, trying to get comfortable again.

Raven finished getting ready and again checked the time. Still early. That gave her time for breakfast.

She replicated pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs for two and set them on a tray. Then she added milk, juice and, for her, salsa, and carried the tray into the bedroom.

She set the tray on the bedside dresser and leaned over to again give Ian a kiss. "Time to get up," she said softly.

Ian felt her kiss him and his eyes fluttered open. "I thought you left," he said smiling at her.

Raven ran her hand across his chest in a gentle caress. "I was getting ready for my shift," she explained. "I fixed breakfast."

Ian looked at the tray and smiled as he sat up. "A man could get use to this," he said, smiling again and winking at her.

Raven's cheeks grew warm as she gave him a tray with his food on it. She poured salsa on her eggs and sat on the side of the bed with her plate. "I hope you like pancakes and eggs."

Ian nodded and reached for the salsa, adding some to his plate before taking a bite. "Thank you," he said to her.

"For what? Breakfast? It's the least I could do after letting me spend the night." Next time, she told herself, she wouldn't drink so much. Her headache was now gone and she dug into her food happily.

"For that and for spending time with me," Ian said after eating more.

"I enjoy spending time with you," she said simply before taking a drink of her milk.

"Would you like to try the camping trip tonight?" he asked her.

"Yes, I would. It sounds like fun." She'd been looking forward to the camping trip since he first suggested it. "When do you want to start?"

"I guess we can do it whenever you're ready," he said to her. "We can set the time if day for anything on the holodeck."

"I can leave as early as 1430, it's all up to you," she said, finishing her breakfast and putting her plate back on the table.

"Then we'll meet at 1500," Ian replied. "That will give you a chance to change and do whatever else you need to do before we go."

"Okay. Anything special you want me to bring?"

"Anything you think you might need," he said to her. "We can program most of it into the program, so I'm not sure."

"I'll have to think about it. I may just bring myself and play it by ear," she said with a teasing grin.

She picked up the dishes and took them to the replicator.

"That sounds like a good idea," Ian said with a nod as he got up and began getting ready for work.

Raven walked back in the room and watched Ian for a minute, not quite sure what to say. She should be heading to her office, but she wasn't quite ready to leave.

Ian finished getting ready and looked at her. "Are you ready?" he asked her.

"Yes." She held a small bundle that contained her dress and shoes from the night before. She could dump them in her office.

"You could leave those here," he suggested, indicating the clothes.

"You're right. It would be better than taking them in to Intel," she admitted, grinning. She hung her dress in his closet and set her shoes and hose on the floor, then closed the door. "Thanks!"

"Anytime," he said with a smile. "We should get going though."

"Yes. Shall I meet you at the holodeck at 1500?" she said, heading for the door.

"I'll be there," Ian said with a smile.
