It was early, Fannin had been good in therapy. He talked an orderly into letting him place a few calls... The first was Morgan Dameron.
The connection was fuzzy at first, Edward adjusted his position in the wheelchair and fixed his hair...
"This is Morgan Damron," she said when the connection was established. She was surprised to see Fannin on the other end. "Commodore!" she cooed. "You look... terrible."
"Yes, please excuse me. My current Makeover has not gone well at all. I was calling to inquire about another matter."
"Death-warmed-over does not suit you," she said, not sure how to take his joke. "What can I do for you?" A loaded question. One that she would no doubt regret.
"I was going to ask if it would be possible to inhabit a nice villa with handicapped facilities. It appears it will take a few days to get this current makeover to reboot. I'll be bringing a guest with me and need a secluded spot."
"Why Damron City and not your own colony?" What on earth would make him want to come to her city? she wondered. Especially when the Federation was building a resort of their own on the other side of the planet? Granted, hers was better, but still...
Edward waited through her silence.. Morgan should know he didn't want any press around, he waited...
"I can wait as long as you can," she said, sitting back. "You answer my question and I'll answer yours."
"Well I was hoping for a break from the press, actually I have an alternate set of plans if your full up down there at Damron."
"I'm not full up," she admitted. "I was merely surprised as to why you'd want to come here. I could find you a bungalow where you'd have enough privacy for you and your companion."
"Very well, I shall have the chief make the arrangements, Thanks Morgan."
"Any time, Commodore," she cooed insincerely. "I will make sure you aren't disturbed by anyone." Especially not herself."
Fannin smiled. "You should be hearing word soon" The Line faded out into a line..
"Great," Morgan muttered to herself when the connection closed. "As if my week wasn't bad enough..."
